Hi students,
we covered Unit 12 in yesterday's lesson. For homework, please complete the Writing Part 3 task on page 83 (n. 5) which you can post your answers in the comments here, and finish Units 10,11 and 12 in your Workbook over the break.
If I find any nice kahoots I might share them with you over the next few weeks, so check in from time to time :)

The lost key.
ReplyDeleteThe last Sunday morning I decided to go jogging . It was a quiet day because there was nobody on the street. While I was walking I saw a strange object on a bench , I approached to the object to see better what it was and I found out that it was a key . I thought that someone had lost the key and this person was looking for it . So I decided to post some announcements in the whole city with all the information .
Two days later a man contacted me for the key . He told me that he lost the key while he was taking his children to school . The next day I gave him the key and he thanked me for the honesty of my gesture , he donate me a gold card to buy all the things I wanted .
A wonderful surprise.
ReplyDeleteOn 29th December 2017 my boyfriend and I went to Austria where my uncles and my little cousin live. We organized everything two months ago but my uncles didn't know anything.
We arrived at the airport of Vienna in the afternoon and moved to my uncles' home by the taxi. When my uncles saw us didn't believe that it was true and they have cried for about 15 minutes.
They usually celebrate the new year alone, instead this year they received a great surprise. We spent 6 days together. At the end of our holiday my uncles and my cousin didn't want to let us go.
"it was everything wonderful" my uncle said while the door was closing.
The wrong house.
ReplyDeleteLast year I went to London to visit Lucy. When I arrived in London I took a taxi to Lucy's House in Notting Hill. While I was on the street to looking for the house a cute old woman said to me: " Welcome, we were waiting for you! Came in!"I thought: " She is the Lucy's Grandma!" and I come in the her house.
I have just taken off my coat when Lucy called me to tell that I had entered in the wrong house. I was surprised, I greeted the lady and run out to Lucy. We never knew who the lady was waiting for.
Last summer, I went to a little town near Catania with my cousin to put forward a nice surprise for my uncle. When we arrived, I called my uncle and I remember that I said : “ Good morning Uncle, How are you? I’m here, near your work place, what do you think if we have lunch together today?”. I usually don’t spend a lot of time with my uncle, so he was already happy enough. So while he was waiting for me, he saw that there was my cousin with me. Considering that his son works abroad, it was absolute unexpected. A great surprise for him!
